For all of you New Year's resolvers

There are three components to getting in shape and feeling better:

1) what you put into your body

2) what you do with your body

3) what is going on in your head (both of the above contribute heavily to this)

Number One:
After years of research and trial and error, I have come to the conclusion that the front page of crossfit.com puts it best: Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. To fine tune this information, read Robb Wolf and anything that he links to.

Number Two:
Follow the workouts on crossfit.com, and catalyst athletics or the scaled WODs on brandx.

Number Three:
After you get in the swing of the two above, especially scaling the workouts to your ability and improving on the skills, you will see amazing improvements in your body and mind. The hardest part is putting it into motion. This requires the greatest effort. Just getting the initial willpower to maintain self-discipline to the point where it becomes a habit.
